The challenge
One webshop, two audiences
Most of YLI’s customers aren’t consumers but installer and reseller partners who order at individual contract prices, often in large quantities. What they need from a B2B webshop is accurate partner pricing instantly, fast reordering and their own company account. Consumers, meanwhile, need a simple, fast webshop.
Prices, stock, customers and invoices live in the ION ERP system, and part of the stock information in the group’s SENIOR ERP. The webshop has to reflect both accurately and up to date, in Hungarian and English, in forints and euros.
The solution
Six years, step by step
We have worked with YLI since 2020. Since then we have taken their Magento 2 system from version to version (2.3.5, 2.4.3, 2.4.7, 2.4.8), introduced a new server environment and GitLab CI/CD deployments, connected the webshop to both ERPs, and launched the English-language store with euro pricing.
Between December 2025 and May 2026 we rebuilt the entire webshop on Magento 2.4.8 and the Hyvä frontend, with B2B features and Algolia search. The new system went live in May 2026.

Hyvä frontend built from Figma designs
The new Hyvä child theme was built from Figma designs: a custom header with a mega menu, a step-by-step drill-down menu and an account panel on mobile, plus new homepage, category, product, cart and account pages. Discount and “New” product labels, product comparison and the guest wishlist work the same way in search, on listings and on the product page.
We also ported multi-warehouse stock display (Wyomind MSI) to Hyvä, so accurate stock information shows for every product type. Technical data sheets can be downloaded right from the product pages.
Algolia search with each partner's own prices
Algolia provides instant search, filtering and a search results page for nearly two thousand products. With a custom-built module, logged-in partners see their own contract prices from ION right in the search results and in autocomplete, not the list price. That is rare in B2B: most webshops only calculate the partner price in the cart.

B2B webshop features for resellers and installers
- Company accounts with multiple users and roles. Every legal entity’s account automatically becomes a company account.
- Individual contract prices: a dedicated price rule for every approved partner, straight from ION, independent of the customer group.
- Quick order by SKU or by file upload.
- PDF invoices from the ERP, product returns (RMA) in the customer account.
- Locked company billing and shipping addresses, so ERP data stays clean.
- Separate B2B and B2C registration, with a mandatory tax number for partners.
Magento ERP integration: ION and SENIOR
The entire business process between the webshop and the ERPs is automated. Orders are transferred to ION together with the payment method and are closed once the ERP confirms them. ION supplies multi-warehouse stock, prices (both customer group prices and individual contract prices), full product data and partners’ company address data. SENIOR ERP provides the text-based stock statuses shown on product and listing pages. All of this is handled by custom-built modules: IonClient, IonB2bPrice, IonInvoice, IonOffer and SeniorErp.
Payments, shipping and two stores in one system
We built a custom CIB card payment module and custom GLS and MPL shipping modules (home delivery and parcel points), alongside cash on delivery, bank transfer and a one-page checkout. The same Magento installation serves the Hungarian store in forints and the English-language store in euros: euro prices, including customer group euro prices, also come from ION.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can partners see their own contract prices right in search?
Yes. In the YLI webshop, individual partner prices from the ION ERP appear in instant search results and in autocomplete through a custom Algolia module, not just in the cart.
Can a Magento ERP integration connect one webshop to two ERPs at once?
Yes. At YLI, ION supplies orders, prices, stock, product data and invoices, while SENIOR ERP supplies the text-based stock statuses. Both connections are handled by custom modules.
How long does it take to move an existing Magento 2 B2B webshop to the Hyvä theme for Magento 2?
For YLI, the Magento 2.4.8 upgrade, the Hyvä frontend, the B2B features and Algolia search were delivered together in roughly five months, from December 2025 to May 2026.
Can several employees order under one company account?
Yes. Company accounts support multiple users with different roles, and company addresses are locked so they never drift from the data stored in the ERP.
Can one Magento installation run a forint store and a euro store?
Yes. YLI's Hungarian and English stores run on the same Magento installation, each with its own currency, with euro prices also synced from the ERP.
